1. If you have a small calendar for 2008 that an adult has given you permission to use, cut out the calendars for each month. If you do not have a calendar for 2008 that you can cut, find one that you can use for reference.
2. Glue the calendars for each month onto twelve 3-inch-by-5-inch Li'l Hands Oslo paper, or write in the months, days of the week, and numbers yourself.
3. Use Li'l Hands Coloring pens to decorate each card with pictures or a message for that month.
4. Use another Li'l Hands Oslo paper to make a cover page for your calendar.
5. To make the easel, cut out a 5-inch-by-11-inch piece of cardboard. Fold it 3.5 inches from one end, 3.5 inches from the first fold, and 3.5 inches from the second fold. This will leave a half-inch flap at one end. (See diagram.) Put Gold Medal White glue on the flap and use paper clips to hold the easel in place until the glue dries.

6. Near a fold in the easel, use a hole punch to make four holes (two on each side of the fold). Punch holes in the calendar cards to line up with the holes in the easel.
7. Use yarn to tie the calendar cards to the easel, with the cover page on top. The cards should be loose enough so that you can flip them over each month. |
